A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, she pursued a double major in Journalism and Global Studies, a combination that provided her with a unique perspective in storytelling and cultural insights. Her professional journey led her to San Francisco and Dallas, where she developed her skills in freelance social media management and photography, gaining valuable experience in the dynamic world of digital content creation.

Driven by her love for her hometown, Olson returned to Omaha and founded Omaha Places on Instagram and TikTok. Her engaging and authentic portrayal of the city quickly resonated with a wide audience, amassing over 100,000 followers across both platforms. This achievement led to the creation of 402 Social, a social media agency dedicated to promoting locally owned businesses in Omaha. Olson's transition from a university student to a prominent social media entrepreneur exemplifies her entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to community, and mastery in the art of digital storytelling.
